Frequently asked questions
Why can’t I use builders’ sand?
Builders’ sand has the wrong particle shape and grading. It won’t bind correctly with fibre, which affects drainage and accelerates surface breakdown. We supply only equestrian-grade silica sand from approved Scottish quarries.
Can I rejuvenate my existing surface?
Yes — if the base and drainage remain sound. We assess each arena individually before recommending rejuvenation or full replacement.
Do you supply premix nationwide?
No. Premix is supplied only within our approved delivery radius to ensure cost-effective transport and correct material handling.
Do you install arenas?
Yes. Installation is carried out in partnership with CMS Fife Ltd, covering new builds, surface replacement, rejuvenation, drainage work, and base repairs.
How do I maintain my Combi-Ride surface?
Regular levelling, water when needed, and keeping the surface clear of manure keeps your investment at peak performance. Little and often is the key — treat it like a lawn. See our guide: Choosing the Right Arena Grader →
When should I replace my surface?
Replace when drainage, grip, or dust issues persist even with consistent maintenance. The better the care, the longer it lasts.
