Pro-Equine’s Manuka Gel formula is particularly useful for lower limb wounds in horses which are often unable to be sutured due to the location and so they are left to heal by a process that is known as secondary intention.
As a result of greater wound retraction, such wounds are more prone to developing excessive granulation tissue and experiencing prolonged wound healing.
The Healing Process

Having a self harming TB who comes in with lots of nicks, cuts and grades on him, I was looking for a product that wasn’t too thick or sticky to use! I spoke with Pamela at a show and she told me about this product. I love using manukau honey as a first aid tool but it’s very sticky and floppy making washing/scrubbing necessary for reapplication. This product is amazing!! It’s a gel product so a little goes a very long way and the results to minor cuts are amazing!!
