Neem Oil is, quite simply, one of nature’s marvels and has a multitude of uses. It is antibacterial, antifungal and contains vitamin E and many essential amino acids, which help moisturise and soothe the skin. Its collagen properties promote healthy, new skin, reduce scar tissue and encourage rapid hair regrowth.
Coat re-growth. For horses that rub and scratch away parts of their mane, tail and even their coat, this amazing oil can transform patchy raw areas. Apply neat or diluted to itchy and rubbed areas. Being both antibacterial and antifungal it deeply moisturizes and helps soothes the skin, and encourages rapid hair regrowth.
Legs. Apply onto your horse’s legs, particularly white socks, during the muddy, winter months. It will soften and remove scabs, tackle itching and encourage hair re-growth. Wipe off with a clean, dry cloth at regular intervals to remove debris. Using a combination of Bug Buster Horse Shampoo and Neem oil can help with feather mite problems.
Additional Information
How to use. Can be diluted (to make a rinse solution or spray) by adding a small amount of a mild detergent or any of our shampoos, such as Bug Buster Shampoo, along with water. Use at least 1 part oil for every 20 parts water.
Our oil contains 100% cold-pressed ingredients with no additives or preservatives, so it solidifies at lower temperatures.
During cold weather, pour the oil into a smaller container and place it in hot water to re-liquify.
